Re: The Owsley Stanley Foundation |
"How funny...no one mentions this till now?"
Actually it was mentioned when the CD came out, complete with link...
http://archive.org/post/414572/more-on-bear-slightly-dead Then the followup...
http://archive.org/post/416084/non-dead-anyone-get-their-janis-joplin-cd-yet You even left comments in those threads! But perhaps you'd forgotten since then that the OS Foundation has only released the one Janis show....
Anyway - it was my understanding that all Bear's Dead tapes were turned over to the Vault, while he kept the other artists.
So that diminishes the likelihood of any unheard Dead release.
On the other hand, maybe the Stanley family will cut a deal with the GD so a Bear-taped Dead show could appear on the "Sonic Journals" label... That would be nice.

Re: The Owsley Stanley Foundation |
I am glad someone's keeping track...IE, of the things I once knew and am now too lazy or unable or unwilling to recall. You, and my wife. Maybe Rob, but he's not around much theses days.

Re: The Owsley Stanley Foundation |
Ha! Glad to help out. I thought as much.
I find a similarity between Jerry’s ‘people that like licorice’ statement and folks (that I know) who like Janis. Or hate her.
I really like both. But I also like Brent, so what do I know.
